Invitation
We will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Institute of Automatic Control Engineering and invite you as former staff members and guests of the Institute, colleagues at TUM, and partners in scientific and industrial cooperations to our festive colloquium.
History
In 1961, the joint Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering of the Technische Hochschule München decided to establish an Institute for Automatic Control Engineering. Dr.-Ing. Ludwig Merz was appointed as Director and Full Professor of the new institute. After Professor Merz's retirement in 1971, Dr.-Ing. Günther Schmidt was elected as his successor. Professor Dr.-Ing. Tokio Martin Buss followed Professor Schmidt after his retirement in 2003.

LSR - Memories & More
A review of the Institute's development during the first day of the colloquium offers all former staff members and friends of LSR an opportunity to get together and to become acquainted with the Institute's current state of the art. Introductory words by Prof. Buss and a review of the Institutes development over 50 years will be followed by short presentations prepared by former LSR staff members and LSR guests. The speakers will indicate memories and impressions of LSR and give some insight in their professional carreer and personal development.
