Lernende Regelungsysteme / Learning Control Systems
The Institute of Automatic Control Engineering, Technische Universität München, is seeking an Assistant/wissenschaftliche/r Mitarbeiter/in with the opportunity for dissertation in the emerging area of learning control. Starting from classical control theory, emerging methodologies including modern adaptive control, reinforcement learning, and randomized algorithms are investigated. Research is foreseen to be mainly in control theory and is likely to include methods from the following areas:
- system identification
- robust control methods
- fault tolerant systems / fault diagnosis
- direct and indirect adaptive control
- reinforcement learning
- stochastic control
The position has the potential of full salary according to German rules (13 TV-L). Requirements are a successful degree (master/diploma) with excellent records.
